Kat
Friday, we meet again you glorious day of the week. I’ll be honest. I’ve been struggling this week. I think it’s the countdown to Thanksgiving, but the children are running amok and there isn’t enough caffeine to keep me sane.

But it’s beautiful outside. I can sleep in tomorrow. And I have five more “wake-ups” until Thanksgiving break. Let’s GO! And let’s join Momfessionals and A Little Bit of Everything for some favorites.

I bought two pairs of shoes within a week’s time. I bought one pair of booties from Jane.com and got so many compliments on them at work. And I also bought a pair of tall boots from Target. Do I plan on living an equestrian life that warrants the need for riding boots? No. Do I still love them? Yes.

Caroline shared a few weeks ago about her favorite essential oils from Revive. I live in fear of having an odor in my house. It COULD be because at my last place of residence our neighbors had guests FREQUENTLY over named Mary and Juana and they carried with them a strong odor that seeped into my apartment. I bought a few fall oils, and I’ve had people over to my house recently and every single person has commented on how good my house smells. The cinnamon and pumpkin pie one cannot be beat, and I’m already eyeing some peppermint and balsam-y oils for December. Party on.

I discovered this Christmas album during the week before Christmas last year, so I never felt like I got to fully enjoy it. NOT THIS YEAR. I’ve already been listening to it. If you don’t have a smile on your face while listening to “Christmas in Killarney”, then I need you to check your heart.

Annie and Ellie got their first haircuts this week. We said “see ya” to an unfortunate mullet on Ellie and said “hello” to a cute, little bob.
Claire has a wonderful teacher this year, and they bring home 25 art projects a week. Several are nice, and we are able to keep them and will be able to put them out each year. Some are typical crafts, and call me a horrible mother, but I just can’t deal with having a storage full of 8 million projects. So, for many of them, I’ve just been taking a picture of her with it to put in our yearly family picture book. It saves my sanity.

For the past year or so, I’ve been going to an esthetician somewhat regularly. Would I love to go monthly? Yes, but I’m not Kris Jenner. I mentioned to her last time that my face always has a redness to it like I’m a mild alcoholic.

She suggested this starter kit that aims to calm your skin. It works! Bye-bye, alcoholic looking Caroline. I love the cleanser and moisturizer too, but my favorites are the calming oil and the mask. Those will become regulars.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that Kat and I really kicked up our heels in Colorado and got açaà bowls. It had macadamia nuts, honey, and coconut, and was dreamy. I was using these açaà packs I found, but then I found these at Costco and love them more because I don’t really have to do anything but let it thaw about 45 minutes before adding what I want. Thanks, Costco.

Thanks for stopping by today! Acai ya later.

I love acai bowls. I will have to try those out. Yay for haircuts. I need to get my girls in for a cut soon. Alcoholic face. Haha. Glad that treatment is working for you.
Going to look at those calming skin products. I think I need them!
Oh man I always double up on the already “bulk” sized acai bowls from Costco. And then i immediately throw away the granola and coconut baggies cause coconu-thank you….and then use my own granola. It’s in my blood. Patticake is also a loather of that tropical yuck.
