Last week, I celebrated my birthday.

When we were little our grandmother would come over on Christmas morning to see what Santa brought us. Consider this my thirty-something version of that. Now, I’m not posting birthday presents to show off how wonderful my friends and family are, I’m doing this because as Caroline and I were blog planning the other night (yeah. This magic just doesn’t appear, y’all) we were flipping through our calendars and both had a “oh goodness” moment of realizing that Christmas will be here before we know it. Yeah, it’s technically September 1st, but it’s basically December 18th. So if you have someone who is quirky like this gal maybe you’ll get some gift ideas.

I stole this idea from Momfessionals, but I think it is so fun and so easy. She has a collection of salad plates that are all fun patterns and colors because every holiday or special event her husband lets her kids pick out a plate for Mom. When she has guests over, they have really fun plates for dessert. I love dessert, and I love fun. Caroline and my mom started my collection. And whenever someone is at a loss as to what to get me, get a salad plate. And my best friend misunderstood and got me a dinner plate. But it’s beautiful, Witchney.

Office fans in your life? My friend, Marie, got me this Office Ladies tumbler, and my sister Leila got me a new teapot that looks like the infamous Pam teapot. And my friend Julie got me Jim’s jello mold soap. I have a very specific brand.

Year 32 was the year of the dish apparently. I have been using sets of hand me down dishes since I moved out of my dorm. That’s been a minute, so my mom got me these perfectly classy Pioneer Woman dishes. Obsessed.

I love when people give me things that they’ve tried and love. My friend, Whitney, got me this sample kit of Riddle Oil fragrances. The packaging is lovely. And I haven’t smelled them all, but the ones I have are heavenly. AND they are cruelty-free, vegan, non toxic, and hypoallergenic because I know you were going to ask, *cough cough Caroline.

Whenever Oprah would do her Favorite Things show she’d always say that one of her hobbies is bathing, and she’d give some bath product. Now, sleeping isn’t necessarily a hobby of mine, but few things get my motor running like a new set of sheets and/or pillows. My sister, Saralyn, gave me a Coop pillow. You can adjust the stuffing in it to your liking. Where has this been all my life?

And for the breakfast food enthusiast in your life, you get them a watercolor of their favorite food. Honestly, I love this thing and when I told Caroline to get me a watercolor painting of pancakes, I didn’t think she’d actually do it. But I’m delighted that she zigged when I thought she’d zag.

The office gifts!!! Yes. I remember that episode. I can’t believe Christmas is almost here. Happy Birthday!
I love all of these!
Y’all crack me up. Currently figuring out which food to ask for in watercolor. And @saralyn great idea on the pillow.
