Our dad, Chuckles is having a big birthday this week, so we had to celebrate him in the most Chuck Stewart fashion. If Chuckles has control of the remote, the tv is either on Andy Griffith or channel 234- The Game Show Network. The man LOVES a game show. He will watch and rewatch episodes even when he knows what’s going to happen. I guess I can’t say too much because I can list the episode titles in order from Gilmore Girls.
One of his favorites is Match Game. Do you remember this classic from the 70s? Not likely unless you frequent the Game Show Network as well.

He thought he was just coming to his “birthday lunch” at my sister’s house. But when he opened the door, we were all dressed in 70s attire and were ready to play the game. I hope you like orange because you’re about to see a lot of it.

You give me a super niche theme and a roll of orange plastic from Party City, and I am good to go.
This angel nephew hosted the game and crushed his gig. The obnoxiously long microphone was a must. Andrew had us doing a double take thinking Gene Rayburn was really at the party.

Sonny and Cher and some hippies made an appearance as well. Thankfully, they didn’t bring with them any gypsies, tramps, or thieves (Unless you count their dad HEYYYY OOOOHHH).

My nephew, Charlie, dressed as a regular on the game show-Charles Nelson Reilly.

Claire hit Woodstock pretty hard.

Can you handle all these flower children and their granddad? Because I cannot.

Mom will tell you there was foul play, but it’s his birthday, Paula. Let the man win.

My sister, Saralyn made this delicious orange cake (thanks for keeping with my color scheme, sis). Surprisingly, we couldn’t find a bakery that specialized in 70s game show cakes. There’s a hole in the market. Somebody jump!

Happy Birthday, Chuckles! We hope you party your BLANK off!
