It’s February. I wish I was good enough on a computer or had any drawing talent to make pop culture valentines. I dream big.

I guess we’ll go ahead and join Momfessionals and A Little Bit of Everything for some talentless favorites from this week.

I love a bodysuit. I’ve been made fun of by some people (cough cough Whitney), but those people are now bodysuit converts. They look so nice with high waisted skirts (which is my work style aesthetic). One time I was at a Schitt’s Creek live event, and I was wearing a bodysuit. I have a very long torso, and Dan Levy said something that tickled me. I laughed so hard that my bodysuit snapped. That was a bit of a shock to the system. I got this one from Amazon recently, and it’s a good length for me (won’t snap under pressure) and isn’t see-through. Win. Win.

I have been needing some new knives for quite some time. Want to know how old my current ones are? My mom got them for me when I moved into my first apartment in college. That was in 2010. Insert judgement here. I ordered this set from Macy’s this week, and I am very excited to chop it like it’s hot.

I don’t like to cook on the weekends. Isn’t it weird that when I have the most time it feels like the most drudgery? I made this easy marinated kale and black bean bowl from Cookie and Kate last Saturday, and it checked all the boxes. Easy. Quick. Healthy.

My one and only favorite today is all about one of the funniest people I know-our 3 year old niece, Laura Kate. Today is National “Wear Red” day for the American Heart Association, so I thought it was necessary we talk about this brave toddler in our life. We wrote a whole post about Laura Kate last year.
This picture was a few days after she was born.

This is her now.

This heart warrior loves a party, adores her little twin cousins, has a great sense of humor, can scarf down a salad, doesn’t lack confidence, and thinks her birthday is the greatest day of the year. What a gift she is.
Laura Kate will be having her third surgery sometime this summer. If Laura Kate ever comes to mind, mention her in your prayers. They’re always appreciated.

She’s so versatile. She can go from Lucy Ricardo to a Scott’s Tot in no time flat.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
1 Chronicles 16:34

Thanks for reading! We hope you have such a great weekend that your bodysuits snaps-always a sign of a good time.

Love this list of favorites. Sweet Laura Kate is always the life of the party! 🙂
