My mom shocked me the other day by telling me that November is one of her favorite months. She’s not a Halloween fan but is a Thanksgiving fan. She likes that is not stressful like December. The weather is finally cooler. I was shaken to my core when I heard this. November? November?! It’s so….brown! But she might be right. She’s right about so many other things-nothing good happens after midnight, always keep cookie dough in the freezer, and I Love Lucy reruns at 5:00 am are the best way to start the day. So mom, you may have shifted my thinking. November may be a new favorite. We’re joining Momfessionals and A Little Bit of Everything for some more favorites.

There are few things that I love more than new sheets. I’ve heard that the president’s bed gets changed every time he lays down. What. A. Dream. That’s reason enough for me to run for office. Kitty 2040. I was skeptical of sheets from Amazon, but oh my word they are divine.

I got this sweater in purple before I went to Ireland in March. It was a cheap impulse buy, but I ended up loving it. I can’t do thick sweaters. Sweat level midnight. It’s a perfect weight, and for $11, why the heck wouldn’t you? So I did again. In black.

Ben Rector doesn’t have a single song that I don’t enjoy. I’ve probably seen him live more than any other artist. I didn’t realize that Thanksgiving needed a theme song until I heard this. It’s been on repeat in Hyundai Boo Boo since it was released.

Before I begin, I would like to echo Kat’s sentiments towards that Thanksgiving song. It is a treat. It’s what you need to hear right now.
Since it’s been a slow, uneventful week in America…..maybe turn your attention to The Food Network. “Every good and perfect gift comes from above.” This week that good and perfect gift was Holiday Baking Championship starting back. It is my favorite. Never have I ever gotten so much anxiety watching someone try to make a coconut layered cake with a cranberry, white chocolate filling and buttercream icing that resembles two turtle doves in under two hours. It’s anxiety but fun anxiety. If that isn’t enough, Christmas Cookie Challenge starts next week too. Both are on Mondays.

Here are some favorites that I had to rebuy on Amazon this week. I’ve mentioned this stain remover spray before, and since it’s such an exciting product, I’m mentioning it again. Let me remind you that this spray got a gigantic, blueberry splatter situation off my couch without any problems.

If you have a little girl, you need some of these. They are so great for them to wear under dresses, and they hold up beautifully. Claire has had a pair for over two years that still look new. She just needed a new, bigger pair because she got my genes of thighs and a rear.

My last favorite is these gals: a witch and her pup and a bunny and a carrot. Two cute duos.

We hope you have a nice, calm, relaxing weekend. Don’t turn on the news, and you will!

That song is perfect! Thanks for sharing.
What cuties! I need to get Addison some of those shorts! Happy Friday!!
I don’t know that I’d say November is my favorite month (as it gets way to cold here usually) BUT Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I have never been a Halloween fan and I too think the whole month leading up to Christmas is stressful.
Such fun favorites! I loved them all, and those sheets are heading my way.
I think this just may be my fave yet…not sure why, but for a start, it’s poignant, whimsical, and funny….and it’s all about Paula….my mother’s favorite child. Yep, I said it….but my mother said it first. And by the way, I’m learning to cook at the age of 69. I have a special recipe for you…but not til you’re offering a prize. I’m still getting over not winning the best birthday ever award! 👻 I thought for sure I had it! 😱
Got a little teary when I saw the Hidees! Anna wore those!!!! They’re perfect for underneath dresses..
Totally agree on Holiday Baking Championship! Another teary moment, bc before Ann’a turned into a 14 yr old who doesn’t have time for her mom, we watched it together.
Gee, Caroline! Thanks! JK! The pictures at the end made up for the teary moments!
