I’m joining Momfessionals and A Little Bit of Everything to share some favorite fall items from Trader Joe’s. There’s going to be a theme. Let’s give em pumpkin to talk about.

–Pancakes are my favorite food. I love anything with syrup. *Insert Buddy the Elf quote here* This pumpkin pancake mix is delightful, and we all know that you need to add chocolate chips to the batter because why wouldn’t you?

-Slather this pumpkin butter on a piece of toast or a bagel, and you’ll feel like you’re on a horse in the opening scene of Runaway Bride. It’s THAT autumnal.

Next time I go to Trader Joe’s and someone asks if I have found everything I need, I’m going to burst into this song because the backyard chips are no longer there.
–I am VERY loyal to the black bean and quinoa chips, but when I saw these, I couldn’t leaf them on the shelf. #nailedit

-I studied abroad in New Zealand and had pumpkin soup for the first time there. I was VERY leery about it, but my heavens, it was good. I have made it from scratch, but who has time for that when Parks and Rec is leaving Netflix on October 1st?!? Yes, I’m sorry if I’m the one who just broke that news to you.

–While I was in New Zealand, we had tea time during the day. The entire country stopped and had a break around 10 am. I was working in a school, and they let the students all go outside UNSUPERVISED during teacher tea time. I was very nervous about it at first but quickly learned to love it. My host family also had tea time every night before bed. I loved calming my day down that way, so I’ve continued it ever since. I have a cup of tea almost every night before I turn in, and I rotate my tea with the seasons because I’m cool like that. This is my FAVORITE (until it’s winter and Trader Joe’s has the peppermint green tea).

-Cinnamon roll spread?! Has someone been reading my diary? A small scoop of this on top of a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of an apple crisp, and you’ll be singing show tunes all evening.

–If the idea of strictly pumpkin soup doesn’t send you, then this is a good alternative. Tomato. Pumpkin. Butternut Squash. The autumn holy trinity.

-I buy an insane amount of this body butter when it hits the shelves. You don’t smell like the inside of a jack-o-lantern; you smell like heaven. Get twelve for yourself and a few for friends because we all need a little pump(kin) up to get through the remainder of 2020.

Heading back to Trader Joe’s like….

I’m not as committed to pumpkin, but Cinnamon Bun Spread is a different matter. And leaf shaped tortilla chips will be a huge hit with my kids. Thanks, Kat!
Holy cinnamon bun spread… I need some of that in my life. And I always get giddy when the pumpkin body butter comes out. Thank you TJ’s for making our lives complete!
