It’s another Friday of joining Momfessionals and A Little Bit of Everything.
Monday we regaled you with school memories from yore. Wednesday was all about a school classic combination. Today we are presenting some favorites related to the 2020 election.
JK. It’s school favorites.

I was looking through pictures trying to find one that was fitting for this post. I found this gem, and it warmed my heart so (and made me burst out laughing). This was when I was teaching 6th and 8th grade in 2013. I had a to-do list on my desk, and one of my 8th graders (someone who made me laugh hysterically everyday) secretly added to my list. Obviously, he was really wanting me to live that housewife life, and I remember dying at the last thing he wrote. I think that needs to be the world’s goal for 2021:
no pain but champagne.
Anyways, since I’m not teaching this year and am somewhat living that housewife life that he dreamt for me, my favorites are all back-to-school items I like for Claire.

I’m starting with the most important item: bows. A girl’s gotta wear her bows to school. I’ve tried bows from several different places, and my absolute favorite ones are from One Stop Bow Shop. They’re cute, fluffy, and hold up better than any other I’ve tried. They always have seasonal ones that are darling. Honestly, I wish I could wear them.

My favorite lunch box for her has been the Pack It freezable lunchboxes. She’s had several, and my favorite part about them is not having to put an ice pack in there.

These are the best boxes to pack a lunch. Everything fits in one place, and you’re not wasting 8 Ziploc bags everyday.

There are approximately 900 billion germs on a floor at school. That’s a fact. There’s also about 40 billion ways for her to get shoes disgusting at school. Therefore, I don’t want to spend a lot of money and send her in expensive shoes. She’s had two pair of these, and they’ve been great. They actually hold up well and are cute.

Dresses and skirts are always my first choice when it comes to dressing for work, but some days your students want to see you do a cartwheel on the playground and the day just calls for pants, you know? Yeah, you know. I always get compliments when I wear these pants from Amazon. Now fair warning, the material is a bit odd. Not off-putting, just not what I was expecting in a pant that came from a warehouse. Ok maybe it’s exactly like a pant from a warehouse, but they are cute. I am wearing a small and am normally a size 2 in pants, but I would probably size up to a medium if I got another pair.

What kind of a teacher would I be if I didn’t mention the best pens? Buy them for yourself. Buy them for a friend. I don’t know who rates pens on Amazon but over 7,000 people have given these 5 stars. What more of a recommendation do you need?

Whether you’re teaching virtually or not, I think these blue light glasses are good to have. I didn’t think I’d be able to tell much of a difference, but they really do help with the harsh computer lights. And they give me the Jessica Day vibes that I’m always chasing.

We don’t have students at school yet, but I was in the building yesterday morning at 6:40. Granted, I was there to work on a parody that we are releasing next week to show the students all the changes in the building, but I was still up and at em. I have to start my morning with coffee, but these are a recent caffeinated discovery. I cannot and will not drink a soda, and I don’t need that huge surplus of caffeine. This has a little bit, and it tastes almost like a cherry coke if you squint your eyes really tightly. Seriously though, for a sparkling water, I think it’s delicious.

And this concludes our “Back to School” week. Get yourself some Amazon pants and bows from the One Stop Bow Shop and werk it, henny. Also, as lovers of the 90s, we feel it is our civic duty to inform you that Mark Paul Gosslear aka Zack Morris now has a podcast called, “Zack to the Future” where he’s reacting to Saved by the Bell episodes for the first time. You’re welcome.

Caroline! Everything about your favorites made me miss y’all! The lunchbox (or maybe it was those delicious looking lunches you packed for her! Omg, the Claire bread), the precious shoes (the Godforsaken orange pea gravel at WW was definitely not worthy of those cuties), the bows ( I can’t take it), and you didn’t even mention her outfit!!! Missing my Claire Bear… 🙁
Fun favorites. Two thumbs up for Back to School Week.
Ordered those pants. So cute!
