Thanks for joining today! I’m joining in with Mix and Match Mama’s Blog and Sheaffer Told me To’s Blog. This post will be chock-full of wisdom, enlightenment, and sage advice. Ehhhhh. Probably not…
WHAT WE’RE EATING…
This honey mustard salmon will be made sometime this week. Cauliflower fried rice another night. Spinach lasagna another night. A twist on these shrimp tacos will be featured sometime. Then I may be out of ideas.
WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT…
Some memories popped up on my phone recently.

Announcing twin genders with lots of pink to some 4th graders happened two years ago.
Then this showed up from a year ago. I thought we’d never get out of sleepless nights and 62 bottles being washed every day. Now I just want to cry and go back to it. Next year I’ll be saying I miss the days of them climbing on the tables 900 times a day.

Then this one popped up of this cute tot from the very end of February last year-when we were all blissfully ignorant of what was to come. Remember those days? I want to be ignorant again.
WHAT I’M LOVING…
My name is Caroline, and I am now one of those annoying people who loves their Peloton bike. Yes, I am. I didn’t even want one, and my reasons were two fold: 1. It seemed way too difficult, and I am not Lance Armstrong and 2. I didn’t want to be one of those annoying people. The man I’m married to wanted one, so I agreed, and I’m a convert. You don’t even need a bike to enjoy the benefits. You can get the app (and even try it free for 30 days), and it’s full of great classes anything ranging from 10-90 min. They have yoga, weight classes, cardio classes, anything to not make you bored.
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO…
Our dear dad had a big birthday recently, and we celebrated him with lots of orange, a microphone as long as the Nile, and a game show of yore. Gene Rayburn was smiling down from heaven with those giant teeth of his.

WHAT I’M WATCHING…
Whenever I go into someone’s home and their TV is not on, I’m always confused. I’m REALLY confused when someone doesn’t even own a TV. As Joey on FRIENDS wisely said once, “What’s all your furniture pointed at?” The sound of a TV on is comforting to me. It’s on even when I’m not watching it because I just like the noise of it. I can’t do pure silence all day. Nadiya Bakes on Netflix has been on lately during the day as my background noise. It’s happy background noise unlike the 20/20 and Dateline episodes I enjoy at other times.

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO…
Kat and I have mentioned our love of a podcast multiple times, so I’m keeping with tradition. I hadn’t listened to Annie Downs’ podcast in a while and started again recently. I can’t be sure why I stopped for a while-it’s delightful.

WHAT I’M READING…
It’s Annie Downs day. Annie, do you want me on your marketing team? She just came out with a new book that I have yet to read, but I’ve reading one of her old books lately. Look for lovely, everyone. It’s there-behind every Covid mask.

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH…
This is the lamest of lame answers, but this week has given us a snippet of nice weather, so I’m guessing March will bring more. Playing outside gives everyone in our house some joy, so bring on the joy, March!

LOVED the John Crist Peloton video, your dad’s amazing party, and your reading suggestion. Hopefully, I’ll have the shrimp tacos this weekend, because I’m sure I’ll love those too.
Loving your list of what you’ve been up to. Now, Mark needs to talk Joey into getting us a Peloton… which knowing my husband, probably won’t ever happen. Ha!
We don’t have a TV. Well, okay, we have a TV that is a monitor for our computer so we can watch things on Disney+ and Blue Jays baseball games. However, it hasn’t been used for about two weeks and likely won’t for another few weeks 🙂
