This is not going to be super exciting. It’s going to be short and sweet, but Caroline challenged me to do a check in with myself and our thousands upon thousands of readers with how my resolutions are going.

I’m doing a different monthly challenge trying to work on my health, my fun levels, and my kindness.
In January I did 100 squats every day, and I did this plank challenge. There were days when I’d be doing squats on the playground at school, but I didn’t miss a single day. One day when I got home on a Friday night about 9:30, I realized that I hadn’t done my challenge for the day. I turned on some 2000s hip hop and knocked it out. My core definitely got stronger as did my legs. My quads were/are something to behold these days.

And my tush?

Let’s just say I’ve maintained that Crawfordville face with the Oakland booty.
February’s challenge was to compliment someone every day. I’ve realized that this was a bit of a cop out. I am a teacher. I constantly compliment, but there were days when I’d reach outside my norm and say something complimentary to friends that I don’t see as often. You know what I learned? I am very sarcastic. It was super hard for me to sound sincere even when I truly was. So that’s a ‘check your heart’ moment.

Additionally, I’ve been reading through the Bible using the “Bible Recap” program through the Bible app. There are several of my friends from college doing it together. Every day it gives you the passages to read, and we can comment and have short discussions with each other. It’s been really great, and I’d highly recommend. And right now I’m in the thick of Leviticus, so if I’m recommending it now, you know it’s great.
Next month, I’m going to be writing a handwritten note to someone every day. Wish me well on this quest. I’ve got to bust out the ol’ quill and stationary. How are your resolutions going? No matter if you’ve stuck to them hardcore or slowly tapered, I say….

Tight tush!
