Last year I featured Christina aka Sugar Mama for her strawberry cake recipe. Well, I recently made her peanut butter cake, and I decided it didn’t need to be hidden from the world anymore, and I needed to get it out there. You’re welcome.

This lady is known for her kitchen skills. When we worked at the same school, she would often bring cakes and put them in the teachers’ lounge. Then there would be whispers all around the building that “the chicken was in the henhouse.” It was like a very sugary drug deal happening. You wanted to let your close people know, but you honestly didn’t want everyone to know because then it would all be gone. Mind you, these whispers would take place around 8:30 am-when everyone needs cake.
I introduced you to Christina in her strawberry cake post, but I failed to mention that my family refers to her as “Sugar Mama.” She’s basically Claire’s third grandmother, and she needed a name for the role, and that’s the name she chose. It’s perfect.
If she brought this cake to you, you could call her “3 Cup Sugar Mama.” Here’s her recipe. It’s rich. It’s decadent. It’s award winning-all things I wish I were.

It doesn’t have this on the recipe, but after she puts the peanut butter icing on, she puts a bag of semi sweet chocolate chips on top and lets them melt over it…because why wouldn’t you? The last time I made this, I made a mess of the icing. I don’t have the finesse of Christina. It might have helped me to melt the chocolate chips before putting it on top.

I hope you’ll make this cake for a special occasion, but I hope you don’t make this cake for a patient on a cardiac floor. #butter
Peace, love, and Kerrygold,

I’ve made her strawberry cake so many times since you shared it last year. It’s amazing! Now I must try this one very soon. Thanks for sharing it.
Mmmmmm!
Please make one for me, and I’ll pay you for your time.
