
Show of hands. Who is on the resolution train to clean up your diet a bit? Don’t jump off and land on the tracks. You’re better than that. You’re also better than a drive-thru for breakfast. Chickfila employees are lovely people, but they’re not monitoring your cholesterol levels. This leads me to my “recipe” for today-a healthy breakfast that won’t make you feel like trash the rest of the day.
For many years I did a smoothie every day for breakfast as a way to get a ton of healthy things in at once. Then I got sick of them. Then I started making this one last year, and that reignited my liquid breakfast fire.
Whatcha need:
-1 banana
-handful of spinach
-1 cup of milk (almond, coconut, cow, whatever you fancy)
-1 tablespoon cocoa powder
-1 heaping tablespoon peanut butter
-1 or 2 tablespoons chia seeds
-hanful of ice cubes
-1 scoop of collagen powder
Bada bing. Bada boom. Nutrition.

If you’ve never used chia seeds, give them a try. I remember hearing Dr. Oz on his show many moons ago saying how they are one of the best things you can include in your diet. If he says it, I believe it. I’ve mentioned before how I try and take collagen daily, but you could obviously leave this out. BUT if you’ve never tried collagen, maybe give it a try. Your hair and joints will throw a party.

I’m just wondering why you prefer the collagen powder over taking a capsule of collage?
I like to add the powder to different foods when possible.
