Anyone else sick of getting texts about the election? Apparently, whoever occupied my phone number before me was a woman named Shantezja. So I have this thing that I (Shantezja) do in that I respond in tv character quotes. I’ve been Michael Scott.
I’ve been Nick Miller.
They almost always respond. Until this week. David Rose was too much for Susan.

Let’s get into some favorites with Momfessionals and A Little Bit of Everything in honor of poor Susan, shall we?

I swore I never would. I loved “What Not to Wear” too much in the early 2000s to ever admit that this was something I’d do. No one contact Stacy London and Clinton Kelly and tell them that I chose to buy light wash jeans, but I’m here for it.

Do you want your coffee to taste like autumn? Of course you do.

I just started this book and wanted to share. Jenna Bush wrote it about the life lessons and wisdom she learned from her grandparents. What a treasure. If I wrote a book about wisdom from my grandparents, some of the wisdom would include…
Lala(my maternal grandmother):
*Always wear a slip under a dress.
*Become friends with your Clinique counter lady.
*You’re never too old for abs. This was evidenced by her buying an ab roller in her 80’s. She would put her phone beside her on the floor incase she couldn’t get up and needed to call us. Bless.
Sybil(my paternal grandmother):
*To start, you’re probably thinking that doesn’t sound like a grandmother name. Well, you would be right. She didn’t want to sound old, so she made us call her Sybil, her actual name. I guess there’s some wisdom right there. Don’t become old.
*On that note, she also taught us to never let people know what your true hair color was.
*Don’t ever feel embarrassed for buying a pizza for your grandkids for dinner and eating several slices in the car on the way home.

My next favorite is this cookbook I got this week. There’s not much in the world that makes me happier than getting a new cookbook. This book is chock-full of healthy recipes. I haven’t made anything because I just got it, but look at these beauties.

Since my theme today is “books,” here is one of my little scholars from this week. Sweetest reader.
Thanks for reading today, and enjoy your weekend. Maybe your plans will include purchasing a pizza for your family and eating half of it on the way home. Those plans are Sybil approved.

Morning ladies!!!
So you would think that me of all people would have eaten a slice ( or half ) of the pizza on the way home, however I never had the heart to do it…..
Needless to say I am going for it this weekend since it is Sybil approved. Have an amazing weekend y’all π π
“Bey”
Always eat the pizza!
Do it, Bey!

Kat I have a pair of light wash jeans that I can now fit into and I will wear them proudly! In honor of Sybil I will eat pizza this weekend! Love y’all’s blog!!
But nobody can walk it like Sybil!
