Leaving school after the first week like…

It’s another day of joining Momfessionals and A Little Bit of Everything for some favorites from the week.

I’ve mentioned before how much running saves my life and the lives of the people who have to deal with me. I wish I would have kept track of how many miles I’ve logged since March-both running and walking. It’s been my Covid saving grace. These are my running shoes. The bottom are as slick as a bar of soap and the toe is pointing at a large hole in my left shoe. I think it’s safe to say I got my money’s worth.

These babes are a new favorite. Praise the Lord for support and traction.

The first time I wore them I went on a walk and texted two friends that I felt like I was wearing “moon boots” from an episode of Arthur from the mid 90s because there was SO much support compared to my run down old pair. Anyone else remember moon boots?

How many different sparkling waters can I advertise? The limit does not exist. This is like lemon pound cake, and I’m here for it.

Caroline had these at her house, and I fell in love. That angel of a human sister of mine got me a bag. What a gem. She got them at CostCo which I’m sure was cheaper than what I just found on Amazon.

My mom came and visited me on Sunday. I’ve lived in the Atlanta area for five years now, and this is the first time she’s seen the city through my eyes. We hit the highlights-lunch, my school, the Krispy Kreme that Shaquille O’Neal owns.

A favorite is Mark coming home after two weeks away. Don’t worry; I’m not about to get mushy. No one is better help with our girls, and no one can unload a dishwasher like him. He flies for an airline, so I’m used to him being gone a lot. It’s normally 5 days max, and then he comes home. Then I get tired of picking up his socks off the floor, and he’s off again. His other job is for the Reserves. He flies with the Hurricane Hunters during hurricane season. It’s him, another pilot, a loadmaster, and a weather officer(did yall know that was a title? I didn’t) flying around in the storms for the weather officer to determine the strength of the tropical storm or hurricane. So, basically he’ll call and tell me about flying a plane in a hurricane, and I respond with something like, “I made banana bread today.” Tomayto. Tomahto.

I mentioned this in January when we started our blog, and I didn’t even know Covid was creeping around the corner. Now it is important that everyone has one, so I figured it was worth mentioning again. I use mine several times a week. Just THINK of all the places your phone goes, and just try and visualize what’s crawling on it. Gag. Get a Phone Soap. I honestly wish I could stick my whole body in it some days; it’s a shame I can’t.

In a lunch rut? This is not a ground-breaking salad mix, but maybe it will give you an idea. I hadn’t had this combination in a while, but I’ve eaten it everyday for lunch this week. It’s greens, berries, avocado, goat cheese, honey roasted pistachios, sweet and spicy pecans, and balsamic vinaigrette. Combat covid, y’all. Eat healthy.

I mentioned recently that I love to get pictures printed from Mpix. If I get something framed and matted, I usually go to Hobby Lobby because they are the cheapest I’ve found. By cheapest, I mean I still pay an amount that I think is absurd for framing. I’ve tried Frame It Easy twice in the past few months. You get to choose your color frame and mat, and you can choose a double or single mat. I got a 16×20 picture framed, and it cost about $80, and that included shipping. This would have easily cost over $200 somewhere else. I 10/10 recommend.

Limoncello is my FAVE!
Omg it’s SO good!
Such fun favorites!
Thanks, girl!
I have already taken your advice on getting the phone sanitizer. I sometimes use it twice a day. And that salad look DELICIOUS!
You can never over sanitize.

They are the BEST for marathon training. 🙂
