When it comes to clothing, I’m either wearing black, or I’m making a loud statement. There’s no in between. This dress falls in the latter category. It sucked me in through an instagram ad. Is it too “Kat’s Amazing Technicolor Dream Dress”? Maybe. But I don’t care. It’s fun, and I love a shirt dress with a collar. They remind me of ones my grandma used to wear. Is it weird that I want to dress like a senior citizen at thirty? Perhaps.

If I had all the space in the world, I’d get a coffee mug every time I travel. Since I don’t, I’ve opted for getting “art” aka mostly postcards. I have had a vision of creating a travel art wall in my house one day, but since I am houseless, the postcards have been taped to my wall. I’m a master interior designer. I couldn’t figure out how I wanted to display them because they are all different sizes and gallery walls are sometimes too busy for my taste. I found the solution on a blog. Get all square frames and customize the mat. The frames will be cohesive even if they pictures inside are different. Brilliant. I used white cardstock as a mat. And I’m in love. Now I have to hang them. But that’s another project for another quarantine day.

Pancake. Bread. Need I say more? Caroline bought this for me the other day when I did her a favor aka kept her offspring so she could have a leisurely masked stroll around Trader Joe’s. She brought me this. Clearly I hate it based on the amount that I’ve consumed in one day. Go get some pancake bread. You’ve earned it.

My first favorite is these gals.

They’re at such a fun stage right now. They actually “play” together and are always talking to each other in their room when they wake up in the morning until I come get them. In this picture, it looks like they’ve never met, but I promise they have.

Pecan butter is my next favorite. I blame my father for my love of anything pecan. He often thinks desserts are garbage if they aren’t loaded with them. I’m not as serious as he is, but my love for this stuff runs deep. I eat it with apples, on top of banana or zucchini bread, or just by the spoonful. It’s pretty heavenly. You can find it here. Yes, it’s a little pricey for ground up pecans, but is it worth it? Yes.

Kat recently wrote an entire post centered around this book. I just picked it up last week, but it’s become a favorite. I love all of Melanie Shankle’s books and recommend them if you’re looking for easy reads. She makes you laugh, makes you think, and makes you wish you could have dinner with her every Friday. She’s a delight.
If you’re an Office fan, then you probably have already seen this. However, if you haven’t, I feel it is my civic duty to show it to you. I was slightly overcome with emotion when I watched this. Seeing them all “back together” recreating one of the best scenes about did me in. I laughed. I cried. I wished I could have a wedding re-do. I need Kevin there in his Kleenex shoes.
That’s all for today. Now head into your weekend with the finesse of Oscar and the confidence of Kevin. Don’t let Covid win.
