It’s another Friday of joining the blogs of Momfessionals, A Little Bit of Everything, and Grace and Love to share some favorites from the week.

*I admit it. I become obsessive with things. It’s fine. It’s gotten me far in some aspects, and in others, it has gotten me restraining orders. Kidding. (I think). During the workweek, I eat the same thing for breakfast every morning, and I still look forward to it every morning. I eat a variation of overnight oats from Chocolate Covered Katie. There are so many possibilities, and I’ve shared this recipe link with a lot of friends over the years. The one pictured below is a banana recipe that I’ll add a couple a lot of mini chocolate chips and a tablespoon of peanut butter to in the morning. My roommate recently commented that upon my death she’ll say, “Kat was loyal to two things: her people and her oatmeal.”

*About a year ago, I went over to a friend’s house, opened the refrigerator to get water, and saw bottles of kombucha and immediately said, “You drink kombucha? When are you going to grow out your hair and stop bathing?” I’m such a people person. Then a couple of weeks later, I got sick and was convinced I was having the same autoimmune problem Caroline has. She said yelled, “You need to drink kombucha.” So I did. I have since grown out my hair and stopped bathing.
Seriously though, I do drink it a couple of times a week and feel so much better. Turns out, I don’t have the dietary restrictions that Caroline has. I just learned the hard way that my body rejects Goldfish, Doritos, pizza, fried cheese, french fries, and sugar cookies all in one day. Go figure. This flavor is a new favorite.

*Exactly four years ago today, I ran my first marathon in Little Rock. I’ll actually be sharing all the lessons that marathon running/training has taught me in a few weeks, but in honor of that first race, I thought I’d share my favorite picture from that day. It will always make me laugh. “With your traffic jam booty heads be pausing so fast.”#luda

“Fat bottomed girls you make this rocking world go round.” True story: I was in the car with my mom a few weeks ago, and that song started playing and I was singing along.
“This is really catchy. Is it a new song?”-Paula Stewart

*Our new kitchen table we got last week is my first favorite. A friend of ours built it. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and he made it perfectly. Now I just need something in the center. Dough bowl? Tray? Statue of The Pioneer Woman?

*The fact that these two can hold their own bottles is a major favorite right now. The mohawk that Ellie has on top of her head is not, but her bottle independence makes up for it. This has changed my world. My next job is to teach them to clean grout.

*My next favorite is the yacht trip I took last weekend that had a private concert with everyone’s favorite goddess, Celine Dion.
Jk. It’s an apple snack. My world is exciting.
It’s apple slices with a little almond or peanut butter and a little of this granola. I’ve eaten this combo all week. If you’ve never tried this brand, you should. It’s low in sugar and high in good. I realize I shared another favorite granola last week, but whatever.
*Finally, I saw this, and it made me chuckle. Anyone else?

Enjoy your weekend! Come back on Monday; it’s going to be minty.

I love the table, Caroline! Josh did a great job! I love that brand Granola, so good!!! Your cat meme of “Power in the blood” made me seriously laugh out loud. I can just hear it now. ๐
Kat, I’ve never had Kombucha either, can’t wait to try some. ๐ I’m definitely going to try out some of those Overnight Oats recipes.
Go Josh Kirk. Imma come eat at it. Although I will miss the circle of chairs.
